1996 NSW Target Championship at Camden

Ckick here to view.

This event was run by Camden Club on behalf of Archery NSW at Rotary Cowpasture Reserve, Camden. The grounds had been undergoing a major redevelopment by the Army Engineers for use by Macarthur Softball, and this event was the first use of the facility since then. At the beginning of day one there was a major downpour lasting an hour or more and the ground would have been damaged with continued use so the competition that day was cancelled.

Day two saw near perfect conditions, although a little damp on the ground in parts. On that day Liverpool Junior member the late Jackson Fear shot a new FITA World Record Junior recurve score which then stood for several years.

The compulsory dress code was all whites or registered club uniform.
